1962 Chrysler Newport
- Don't even ask why I bought this ; must have been a temporary lack of oxygen to the brain , and now I'm hoping YOU will have that too ! Here's an honest - unlike the guy that sold it to me - description : she will need paint , because it's dull ( NO bodywork though , superdry , rustfree she is ) and some tinkering that I don't have time for. Chrome is pretty good , and the interior looks to be all original with no cracks in dash , and a good headliner. I put in a new black carpet. The globe works , but the lights in the buttons don't. Engine runs good , and the trans goes in gear rightaway . However , I have not driven car anywhere, due to excessive play in the frontend. This is a very CHEAP but straight old car that I'm selling for a PARTSCARPRICE , but just too good to take her to the boneyard..I need a enthousiast with a good heart to save this old lady ; she's worth it. I've got $3500 in the car which may be too much , but I'm willing to loose ; come and bring me $1950 for this older Lady and you'll have a good running fun car for next to nothing. Compare this to the rustbuckets that people are asking more for , and you'll realize this is a good deal. Inspection before completion of transaction is mandatory , because I have a great reputation that I'm not willing to loose over a cheap car like this. $1950, that's all , get it out of here before I change my mind and cut out the dash to make a cool desk. ( o.k., now you know the reason I bought it anyway ; I got guilt feeelings though ; too nice to cut it up..! ) SOLD !!! THANK YOU DAVE !
