1956 Mercedes 190 SL Roadster
- This 1956 Mercedes 190 SL Roadster is a decent no. 3 condition car. Was owned by a lady in California for 15 years , untill she moved to Florida in 2004. The paint is nice and shiney , but there's numerous imperfections in it , so I'm going to call it needing paint. There's also some evidence of some bondo in the rightfront corner , so she must have had some minor fenderbender there. Chassis looks fine , as does the undercarriage. That does look solid and original with no signs of the usual amateur patching up , although very thorough inspection might produce some flaws there too. Interior looks presentable , and the original Becker radio is there. There's also a nice stereo system that's hidden in the glovebox , with a cd changer built into the trunk area. Correct cloth softtop looks great. No hardtop , sorry..The engine sounds good and has had the usual carb conversion from Solexes to Webers. Runs and drives great. New exhaust too. Chrome is decent , and she has the bumperettes on the bumpers. All in all , a car you could freshen up some and just drive and enjoy. If you want a show car ,this is not , but it isn't priced like one either ; this one is priced very fair for what you are getting..Inspections welcomed. Please call me for more info , I'm on the road a lot , thank you. J.P. 954 5250600
