Engine looks to be a 390 , but could be 428 cu ? ; it's very powerful anyway ! All in all a very presentable , no rust , great running and driving car. , priced to sell at only $9950,00 ! 	1917 Studebaker 7 passenger Touring
	Very nicely older frame-off restored 1917 series 17 50 hp Studebaker seven passenger Touring. Engine no. that's on the front above pulley says 16740 , and on the plate by the firewall it says 203993. I just bought this beauty out of an estate and it looks to be in great condition ! This was the top of the line Studebaker one could buy in 1917 , at a whooping $1085 !!! ( talk about inflation folks..) The six cyl. engine has plenty of power ( 50 hp to be exact ) The car is very clean and looks to be totally restored except for the interior which seems to be all original , and the leather still is in very nice shape. The jumpseats fold neatly into the floor. The car did'nt run when we got it , but we played with it , and it does now. The only thing that still needs to be corrected , is the vacuum gas system ; it may be sucking air or something. A lot of people bypass it with a electric fuelpump..Enginebay is clean also. My mechanic friend drove it around the parkinglot and she seems to wanna do everything she's supposed to ; shifts , stops fine etc. The top is like new. I'm six foot 2 , and look how big this car really is ! A great touringcar offered at a price that's less than the cost of the restauration ! Hey , it's always later than you think ; now it's time for YOU to be the next caretaker of this beautiful piece of history ; come on , it's time to play ! Besides , deep down inside you KNOW it's better to invest in this precious metal rightnow than to let some strangers run your stocks into the ground !
