Being no. 88 , it is one of the original 250 factory built cars that sold out immediately to movie stars and other movers and shakers. Clenet built a series II and III , but neither was as esthetically pleasing as the series I. In fact , this car ( and the first series excalibur ) started the Neo - classic car craze. I remember seeing one in some car showroom in Holland Europe for an astronomical figure like $250,000 ! ; something I could only dream of at the time , and now I've owned many ; dreams do come true ! Some cars inspired by the Clenet are the Sparks Johnson and the Corsair , but none of them can touch the build quality of the original Clenets..This particular car has been extremely well kept and pampered all it's life and she's ready to be enjoyed. It comes with the factory Big block Ford 460 cu. , auto trans , AC , walnut dash , even the original crystal ashtray which is new in the box still and in the trunk together with some RR sheepskin mouton carpets ! It has the hard top as well as the soft top , genuine wire wheels and all ! Wish I could keep her in my private collection..oh well , my loss , your gain !
